How do you give a good sauna infusion?

Learn from the Sauna Event

We sponsor the sauna master association because we consider this association a good initiative to allow sauna masters to learn from each other. Thanks to the sauna event, sauna masters will perform infusions at each other’s locations more often. As a result, they see how others perform infusions more frequently and gain more inspiration for their own. The atmosphere during the event can be described as downright good. The winner of the sauna event receives the title: Master of the Towel of that year.

Much more professional

In recent years, a major step towards professionalization has been taken regarding the following key factors in a sauna infusion:

• Use ice (balls) and pure fragrances so that the scent does not burn on the sauna heater
• Create fun fragrance mixes for the infusion
• Prevent over- and under- Dosage
• Ensure that all scents are clearly noticeable during the infusion
• Use alternating scents that fit the theme well
• Use advanced fanning techniques that move the air effectively
• Use various fanning materials such as a towel and a fan
• Lighting and sound techniques in the sauna
• Let the theme come into its own during the infusion
• Have guests sit during the session so that more guests can enjoy the session
• Connect with the guests and touch them with the scents, the music, the theme, and the treat afterwards
• Protect privacy
• Have new guests visiting for the first time sit at the bottom of the cabin
• Encourage guests to leave the cabin if they are no longer comfortable and indicate that they will be assisted when they exit the sauna cabin
• Make the queue attractive (do not wait too long, especially not in the cold)
• Give another infusion in a different sauna cabin at the same time to spread out the crowds (if it is very busy)
• Give infusions spread throughout the day so that not everyone comes to eat in the restaurant at the same time
• Also involve guests you do not know (well) in the infusion
• Be clear about silence in the cabin
• Vary the temperature (observe the guests’ reactions)
• Do what you say
• Give guests the goosebumps feeling
