Natural Cedarwood essential oil has a smoky, sweet-woody scent that is a bit like freshly sharpened pencils.
Effect of cedarwood oil
Cedarwood oil is warming and therefore suitable for muscle pain in cold or wet weather.
What is the essential oil used for?
Natural Cedarwood oil is used in cleaning products and insect repellents. The perfume industry characterizes the scent as an undertone.
Use cedarwood oil
- In the sauna: add 20 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
- In an aroma burner: add 5 to 10 drops to the water in an aroma burner
- On an aromastone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aromastone
- In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
- For steaming: add a maximum of 1 to 4 drops to boiling water and steam with a towel over the head
- In the steam room: add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a sponge and place it in a stainless steel bowl under the steam pipe
- In a massage oil: add a maximum of 10 drops of Cedarwood oil to 100 ml of Sweet Almond oil for a natural massage oil or skin oil.
- In the bath: use our Zen bath oil for Cedarwood in the bath because otherwise Cedarwood oil will float on the water
Warnings
- Do not take the essential oil neat or use it neat on the skin.
- Only use 1/4 of the normal dosage for hypersensitive skin.
- Only vape during pregnancy. (Do not use on the skin)

The Cedarwood tree and the extraction of its essential oil
This natural essential Cedarwood oil is extracted by steam distillation of the wood chips and sawdust of the Juniperus Mexicana from Mexico. The Cedarwood tree is a slender tree that can grow up to 35 meters high.
Approximately 25 kg of wood is needed for 1 liter of cedarwood oil. The color of the oil is light yellow to orange.
About the bottles
The 5 ml and 20 ml brown glass bottles contain a dropper and a child-friendly cap and the 100 ml brown glass bottles contain a pipette. The 500 ml bottle and the liter bottle are used as refill packaging.
