This Ylang Ylang oil III has a slightly more viscous and smokier scent than the Ylang Ylang extra, I and II. The scent of Ylang Ylang is somewhat euphoric and soothes feelings of anger or irritation.
Ylang Ylang oil often suits women better than men. Ylang Ylang is more refined and sweeter than its related Cananga oil.

What is the essential oil used for?
In Indonesia it is traditional to sprinkle cananga flowers on the marriage bed because of its sensual scent. This essential oil is often used in floral perfumes as a middle tone. Ylang Ylang oil can be used in skin care products and soaps.
Use Ylang Ylang oil
- In the sauna: add 20 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
- In an aroma burner: add 5 to 10 drops to the water in an aroma burner
- On an aromastone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aromastone
- In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
- For a relaxing massage or skin oil: add a maximum of 25 drops of Ylang Ylang oil to 250 ml of Sweet Almond oil.

The essential oil mixes well with cananga, citrus scents such as bergamot, lemon and orange, cedarwood, lavandin, lavender, jasmine, rose, geranium, mandarin and sandalwood oil.
Extraction of essential Ylang Ylang oil
Ylang Ylang means Flower of Flowers. The Cananga Odorata is a tree that can grow up to 25 meters high. The tree blooms with long green-yellow Ylang Ylang flowers. The Ylang Ylang flowers are picked and collected by hand.
This essential oil is extracted through steam distillation. 50 to 75 kg of flowers are needed for 1 kg of Ylang Ylang essential oil. The color of Ylang Ylang oil is dark yellow. The variant Ylang Ylang oil is Ylang Ylang III.
