Scent Lime oil

Lime oil has a light, fresh, bitter, fruity lime aroma. Lime oil is softer and sweeter than Lemon oil. This Lime essential oil falls under the citrus essential oils.

Effect of Lime oil

Lime essential oil works well against depression. Lime refreshes and stimulates a tired mind.

What is the essential oil used for?

In perfumes, Lime oil is often used as an overtone and as a refreshing ingredient. Lime essential oil does not linger for long because it is a top note.

Use Lime oil

• In the sauna: add 20 drops to an ice ball or to the water in the sauna tub
• In an aroma burner: add 5 to 10 drops to the water in an aroma burner
• On an aromastone: add 2 to 4 drops to the stone of the aromastone
• In a diffuser: add 2 to 4 drops to the water in the diffuser
• For steaming: add a maximum of 1 to 4 drops to boiling water and steam with a towel over the head
• In the steam room: add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a sponge and place it in a stainless steel bowl under the steam pipe
• In a massage oil: add a maximum of 10 drops of Lime oil to 100 ml of Sweet Almond oil.
• In the bath: use our Me Time bath oil for Lime in the bath, otherwise Lime oil will float on the water. Me Time bath oil contains natural Lime, Mint and Lavandin oil.

Warnings

• Do not take the essential oil neat or use it neat on the skin.
• This essential oil is phototoxic. So avoid the sun and tanning beds for a few hours if you dilute lime oil with a base oil and apply it to the skin to prevent redness of the skin.
  This essential oil is therefore better to use in winter than in summer.

Lime oil mixes well with

The essential oil mixes well with citrus scents, rosemary, ylang ylang, lavender, mint and peppermint oil.

Extraction of lime essential oil

Lime essential oil is extracted by cold pressing the peel in Mexico. 1 liter of lime oil requires 50 to 100 kilos of lime peel. Lime oil has a clear to light yellow color.

About the bottles

The 5 ml and 20 ml brown glass bottles contain a dropper and a child-friendly cap and the 100 ml brown glass bottles contain a pipette.
